At Home Design and Decorating Academy of Texas, we believe that great design starts with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the art of living. Established in 2023 in the charming town of Georgetown, Texas, our school is dedicated to providing a top-tier education in interior decorating and design. We empower our students with the practical skills and creative vision needed to transform spaces into reflections of modern life. As trends evolve, so do our programs, ensuring that every graduate is prepared to lead in the ever-changing world of home design.
Barbra Sonnen-Hernandez
has been an Interior Stylist and Decorator for over 40 years. She wanted to share her expertise to the next generation of creative home designers and those who love decorating by teaching classes providing the training and hands on ability it takes to be successful. She also currently teaches at the Academy, Home Styling, Home Staging, Display and Self-Paced Electives.

Certification
To receive a Certificate. You must complete of your choice 4 of the following classes and one Elective listed below. Receiving a Certificate will get you a professional job in taking these courses or start your own business. If you are not interested in pursuing a Certificate, you may choose any of the classes of interest you would like to take.

Sarah Mack’s journey began in the world of professional home organizing, where she discovered her passion for optimizing spaces in helping families get organized. This experience also transitioned into personal fashion styling for an upscale department store. Sarah thrives on building lasting relationships with her clients and taking the time to understand their personal needs. Before stepping into the world of personal styling, Sarah gained invaluable experience as a production assistant for video and photoshoots with executives at a Fortune 500 Corporation. Recently, Sarah has attended the Home Design and Decorating Academy of Texas located in Georgetown, Texas to obtain her Interior Design and Staging Certificate. Sarah is here to guide you every step of the way.
